New T-shirt
We found this T-shirt at T-shatsu-ya on Kokusaidori and promptly bought it. What a heart-wrenching Engrish message from Okinawa to the American military and Japan:-( Let us have our peace sky back again. It used to be peace sky. Now our sky is dangerous. See the poor little birdy flying amongst the fighter jets? Grrrr. Makes me want to smash all sorts of things. The dominant paradigm. Capitalism. Militarism. Colonialism. All those pooh-heads.

Oh, indeed....it does just sort of encapsulate the whole kit 'n kaboodle of it....let our peace sky come back, let our birdies fly in peace. To this end, your great towel is draped ceremoniously across the top of the "sitting" chair by my window. Love and hugs, Mum
